Original Item: Only One Available. This is a very nice WWII German SS Officer's Bullion Dress Brocade Belt, with an attached aluminum buckle. These belts were worn with the dress uniform for ceremonial occasions, and were standard issue to all officers with their dress uniform.

The round officer's buckle is constructed of die struck aluminum, and has a central raised circle, with the canted NSDAP Swas (Hook Cross or Swas) in the center. Surrounding this on the bottom is a very nice wreath of oak leaves and acorns, with Gott mit uns (God with us) in gothic letters on the top. The reverse of the buckle is concave, and has the buckle catch, which on the other end is crimped around the rectangular keeper. The buckle shows minimal use, with just a bit of wear around the edges.

The buckle is attached by a double square ring to a long quality woven bright silver/aluminum construction brocade belt. The belt has a central embroidered area for the entire length of the belt, displaying the ᛋᛋ doppelte Siegrune (Double Sig/Victory Rune) symbol of the SS. Between these are oak leaves, a very popular motif used throughout German history.

The reverse is lined in a green/gray fabric, and a small hook on the end of the belt by the buckle fits into grommets on the reverse for size adjustment. The belt measures about 44 inches long in the current configuration, and looks like it could probably be extended more. The folded over buckle tab holds the buckle on by only a few stitches, unfortunately most of the others have degraded and popped. These belts usually would have had an RZM label or other type of paper label on the back, which were removed when put into service.

The rear of the clip is marked with the "barred A" trademark, of F. W. Assmann & Söhne of Lüdenscheid, a large maker of belts, buttons, and other accouterments. It is also marked DGRM, indicating that the design was registered at the German patent office. Below this is a number 38, for 1938 production.

The buckle is in fantastic shape, with minimal wear, and clear frosting, as is the
clasp on the other side. The bullion threading on the belt is nice, with almost no wear. Both sliders are present, and look great.

Overall a great example of a hard to find WWII German Dress Belt, ready to display!
